Creating a piece of content people can engage with before a big event happens is always a good idea. That’s because your audience is already aware of said event and you’re just there to swoop in and put a bit of good, related content in their hands that they can have fun with… and hopefully share. That was the thought behind the Never Have I Ever: Canadian Edition quiz I created for CBC Manitoba right before Canada Day. It was also a companion piece to another article that highlighted all of CBC’s Canada Day festivities locally and nationally.
Do you shout ‘TRUE NORTH!’ at the top of your lungs or do you keep your patriotic pride polite? To celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial, take our Never Have I Ever challenge to find out how hard you ride for the maple leaf. TAKE THE QUIZ HERE
The quiz went viral quickly. We shared it via Twitter (4 tweets) and Facebook (2 posts) a few days before July 1st and it flew. The quiz peaked on June 29 and ended up with 17.8% engagement rate by reaching 207,000 people and getting 37,000 in engagement. And over 13,500 completed the quiz.
