When I write a story about a place, I need to figure out a hook that makes sense for the destination. It shouldn’t just be a “go here, do this, next…” type of story. It should have more importance to it. A moment or theme during the journey that jumps out at you and says “this is why this place is special.” For a trip to Ontario during the fall, it was all about that colour.
