This was my first try at an infographic. I was asked to create a small campaign around a new fossil discovery of a very large, very old and very frightening fish called the Xiphactinus, which was found near Morden, Manitoba.
I wanted the visual to have a bit of that old archaeological look of the 30’s mixed with some modern fonts of today. Then I compared the fishes traits to other species that you would find in Manitoba today. Besides the infographic, the campaign included a “Master Angler” certificate (an award of extinction), which we awarded to the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre for catching such a large beast.
