This story was part of Travel Manitoba’s Blogger Program, which I helped develop with our Partnerships team in 2014. For this particular piece I was asked to write about Water Awareness Day. As the article wouldn’t be live until after the event, I had to figure out a way to write about it so that it would still be relevant when the story was published. I decided to write about a love for lake life and how preserving and caring about our bodies of water helps us all thrive.
That’s the song my mom used to sing to me when I was a kid as she pedaled me around the Dunnottar area on her old bike.
